One hundred pages with a comprehensive worldwide discography, bootlegs, cover versions, career milestones stage, radio and TV appearances. God knows how he did in that pre-internet era. I just provided a career overview. He was a lovely quiet guy Chris (1951 – 2017), was taken too soon. I can only guess at what size this book would be now if I ever attempted an update – the Springsteen box sets and ‘official bootlegs’; the Broadway sensation; Bruce co-writing books with Presidents. The late DJ Roger Scott was an enthusiastic champion of this book. Even today with all the wonders the web has to offer, many still cite this as The Bible. I treasure those phone calls between West Dulwich and Solihull, with Chris pleading “There’s this Czechoslovakian picture disc of ‘Born To Run’ I’d like to get in somewhere.
