Far out man… Half-awake I heard the Floyd premiere Atom Heart Mother at the 1970 Bath Festival (first time I ever saw Fairport Convention too… Oh, and watched Led Zeppelin open their set with ‘Immigrant Song’, then had to beetle back to London to sign on!) But back to the Floyd… I was never one to subscribe to the “They went downhill after Syd left” camp; the Floyd were, for all his many faults, Roger Waters’ band.
